Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese decorative knot often used for gifts, weddings, and New Year celebrations, symbolizing blessings and human bonds. Among its many forms, the “Plum Blossom Knot” features five interwoven petals, representing connection and warmth.

In this workshop, participants will first learn about the history and types of mizuhiki. Instructor Maggie Li will then guide them through the basic Awaji knot, followed by the Plum Blossom knot. Attendees will create a phone strap and a keychain, which they can take home as their own handmade pieces.
