Bridging Bridge is an international co-production, commissioned by WestK Performing Arts, that brings together Hong Kong’s TS Crew and contact Gonzo from Osaka to perform at The Box, Freespace from 21 to 23 November. The innovative work artfully merges diverse performance techniques, including physical theatre, combat, improvisation and beatboxing to unleash spontaneous energy underpinned by sincerity and humour. The two groups build a real-time collaborative bridge to the world using physical movement and bamboo, exploring the boundary between conflict and connection. Transcending language, the performance showcases cross-cultural chemistry and trust, inviting audiences to explore possibilities for cross-border dialogue on unity and division, and how to bridge gaps in an increasingly polarised world.
Active on the international stage, contemporary dance company TS Crew has forged a unique style rooted in the martial roles of Cantonese opera and lion dancing, uniquely blending skills
