The annual autumn mega event “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong – Rediscovering Nippon” (hereafter to be referred to as “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong”) is returning this year, bringing the charm and attractions of Japan to Hong Kong citizens. Moving onto its eighth edition, in order to encourage Hong Kong citizens to participate in cultural exchange events between Japan and Hong Kong happening in the city, the Executive Committee of “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong” is organising a poster design competition for the first time. The theme of the competition is “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong – What I like about Japan”. It is now calling for entries and the submission deadline is 5pm, 31st May 2023.

The poster design competition is divided into Primary Division, Secondary Division and Open Division. There will be one champion, one first runner-up, one second runner-up and three merit award winners for each division and one overall Best Popularity award. Awardees will receive exciting prizes sponsored by Japan-related companies in Hong Kong, such as a pair of Economy Class round-trip Hong Kong-Tokyo air tickets, electronic appliances, department store and supermarket cash coupons. The winning work has the chance to become the official poster of the “Japan Autumn Festival in Hong Kong” this year.
