As one of the participating countries in the “International Ethnic Cultural Performances”, Japan will be showcasing its diverse culture through live performance on stage, booth display and mask exhibition.
Representatives of the Hong Kong Tatedo Association will be joining the live performance and run a booth to introduce to the Hong Kong public the art of Japanese sword fighting. On the other hand, the Miyazaki Prefectural Hong Kong Representative Office and Okinawa Prefectural Government Hong Kong Representative Office will present their respective traditional masks in the mask exhibition session (Miyazaki – Takachiho Town’s “Kagura” masks; Okinawa – Yaeyama region’s “Angama” masks).
